Ben has been MIA in the Postal Mail

February 10, 2018 Ben is gathering Chi for The 2018 T'aiChi Chih Teacher Conference! Ironic that the man who began as the first Postmaster General got lost in the mail!!! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Franklin When I practice Light at the Top of the Head I often consider those wrist circles up there as cleaning the inside and outside of a window. I let go of all the fog and can see clearly the road my life is on at this time in the journey. Then when I reach the wrist circles for Light at the Temple, I clear the tangle of my plans and expectations that I have about where I am headed and how far along I should be right now. Each pause in the stillness reminds me to just be... be okay with exactly where I am right here present with today. Empty of Expectations for Tomorrow Empty of Wishing Things Different Yesterday I am fully present Just being here now Thank you for sharing the breath of life with me in this moment. We are welling up with bu

February 2, 2018 Betsy is gathering Chi for The 2018 T'aiChi Chih Teacher Conference! Thank goodness Betsy was too sleepy to get up and go to my TCC class Wednesday morning.    After class, coming down the staircase I had a really bad fall.   If Betsy had been along, she would have been smushed so flat we would never have been able to fill her with chi.  My elbows were killing me, but nothing else hurt at that moment.   I was afraid to move for a few minutes though. The only thing I remember about the fall was stepping to what I thought was a landing on the stairs (I have no depth perception .) and feeling nothing but air beneath my feet.   My next awareness was landing sprawled out in the lobby on my back and my head banging on the hard tile floor. According to my student who was right behind me, I missed the last two steps down to the landing, fell onto it, bounced off a huge ceramic planter and then basically somersaulted down the last 4 steps to the lobby that wer

January 11-12, 2018 Ben is gathering Chi for The 2018 T'aiChi Chih Teacher Conference! 1.11.2018 – TCC teacher, Denise Bussman, welcomed Ben to frigid, Madison, Wisconsin and thanked him for bringing warm, 50 degree temps!  He absorbed much Chi as he observed my TCC class, held at the Waunakee Village Center, in the Village of Waunakee – the only Waunakee in the world! 1.12.2018 – Ben and I traveled to downtown Madison, to visit the famous UW Center For Healthy Minds, home of the acclaimed Dr. Richard Davidson, whose brain-based research was highlighted at last year’s TCC Conference in Dr. David Parrish’s presentation: “The Brain on TCC”. Wow! Talk about an opportunity to be filled with Chi! 1.12.2018 – Ben and I completed our visit in downtown Madison, with a trip to the State Capitol Building where Ben posed on the steps to the Capitol for a photo-op in -20 below wind chill. A hearty soul that Ben! Sending all this chi forward to Philidelphia, PA

Ben is gathering Chi for The 2018 T'aiChi Chih Teacher Conference! Flat Ben came to Loveland, CO to visit Rebecca Paulson for Christmas and a visit to one of several teaching locations in the far west! Plenty of opportunity to focus on grounding in the soles of your feet. These HUGE feet are the base of a man playing saxaphone. It stretches WAY up to  tiny head and hands. Betsy visits Wendy Statuto in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ

December 8, 2017 Betsy is gathering Chi for The 2018 T'aiChi Chih Teacher Conference! Greetings from Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. Ho-Ho-Kus Seven letters all in a row, Three are in caps, and four are low. Add two hyphens, they must be there Or our Ho-Ho-Kus would not be rare. Rare indeed, is this little town in northern New Jersey, home of Wendy Statuto, a fellow TCC teacher. The land was first inhabited by the Lenni Lenape Indians, whose name means “original people.”  It wasn’t until 1662 when the first white man came to own property.  Legend has it that the indians offered their friendship to these first settlers inviting them to live with them and helping them build their dwellings.  After hundreds of years, I could feel the Chi that was generated from this town’s very beginning. But arriving here was not without a little excitement, as I found myself surrounded by two collies and a little pup (Mark and Wendy’s new little rescue, Finley).  I thought I might be in trouble

December 15, 2017 Ben is gathering Chi for The 2018 T'aiChi Chih Teacher Conference! Flat Ben came to Surprise, AZ to visit Nikol Price. Nikol is a librarian so our first stop was the Estrella Mountain Community College library to consult some reference books. On my second day with Nikol, we went on a road trip to her niece’s wedding reception in Fort Mohave, AZ. On the way, we stopped in Wikieup and I had some trouble with the law. We got it all worked out and made it to the wedding on time. Yum! I sure do enjoy these wedding cookies!
